Haven't had time to come back with a review cuz I've been playing, but this thing has completely blown me away. For the money I paid (nowhere near the new price luckily!), I don't think I could've gotten a better acoustic.

    Specs here: https://www.guitarcenter.com/Takamine/EF450C-Thermal-Top-Acoustic-Electric-Guitar.gc

Crappy pics in crappy lighting here (they're much sharper before I post them in here...not sure why that is):

The case unfortunately had two busted latches (the guitar however appears unplayed...even has the plastic film over the battery inside the soundhole), but GC refunded me the money to get the case replaced so no worries. This guitar was shipped in it's case in a box with literally one thin sheet of bubble wrap underneath it and no other packing materials:rage:. Who does that?!?! Oh yeah, GC :).

Tonally it is really superbly balanced...no exaggerated anything, just a really warm full sound. The insane attention to detail shows here, and this is a perfect example of why I think Japanese craftsmanship often exceeds that of the USA (no offense to USA guitars, love those too!).

Sounds great plugged in too, I'll try to get some clips up but given my lack of recording equipment I'm sure it won't do it justice.

    Off to play!

That is blingy, I could see one of those new country acts rocking that up on stage for sure...

I've never seen GC use less than a dozen feet of bubble wrap or a metric buttload of packing peanuts in my shipping experiences with them.

Yeah usually they do well with it. I’ve had some poor shipping experiences before but this was the worst packing job I’ve ever seen...

And yep, as mentioned in a previous thread this is rumored to have belonged to a country star and was brought in by one of his employees (not a new act though). Gonna have to keep it to just a rumor without paperwork, but that’s what the GC manager told me. He said it was either Tim Mcgraw or Keith Urban...could be bs, but the guitar came from Nashville and he told me this tale after I had already purchased it so there wouldn’t be much of a reason to lie...who knows.

Either way celebrity owner or not the price was really insane so I just had to pull the trigger on this one!

Stock, it comes with the TLD2 Line Driver pickup. I have to say, best sounding undersaddle piezo I have ever heard. Also awesome that they chose not to put any controls, tuner, etc in there to avoid cutting into the guitar. Everything’s just controlled from your amp.

Thanks man! Having a real hard time putting it down despite never really being much of an acoustic guy over the years. I was hoping that a high end one would renew my interest in it and I've been spending today learning a bunch of weird chords, so the plan seems to have worked!

Definitely, I've always loved Takamine guitars but I've mostly played their $500-ish models. Which one did you have? I know with them you usually can't go wrong.

Thanks Tiga! I kept hoping for some sunlight to get some pics that don't look like crap but it's been a pretty grey weekend...
