OK - I got the Douglas Gravity HH I ordered. It helps to live in NH - shipping is very fast from the Rondo wearhouse also located in NH.

I'll get a photo uploaded soon. It looks even better in person than it does on the Rondo site. The neck and bridge pieces just needed a little adjusting. Now it plays perfectly. The soldering on the pickup selector needs fixing since the bridge pickup plays alone in the bridge and middle positions but I'll fix that when I change the pickups.

I love the neck on this guitar. Nice and smooth. No problem with the frets. The binding is nice all around, including the f-hole.

The mod so far was I replaced the stock nut with the graphtech nut.

I'm VERY happy with this guitar. I have two telecasters and two strats and I believe that this Douglas will get as much if not more playing time.

    I love this picture:thumbup:

This guitar plays great but the pickups will definitely be changed to improve the tone.

Don't get me wrong... Tone guy is not me. I love all umpteen of my asian guitars even if they don't emit expensive tone from their photographs LOL

I'm waiting to get the Giovanni pickups installed before posting a photo. They should be coming Monday.

 True. But they'll look better than the uncovered ones that come stock. I'm also considering changing the neck to a really nice MIJ rosewood fretboard telecaster neck I have.

I have a photo but can't upload it. I've checked out the thread on How To Post Images on AGF. I can get the upload box and choose the file but nothing happens from there.

I've also tried the Control F-5 and nothing happens. Any suggestions? [hr]
OK - problem solved. The one on the left is the new Douglas. I installed two Alnico II humbuckers I had laying around while I wait for the new Giovanni's. The one on the right is an old STL ash with a Fender tele neck. I put a GFS overwound fatbody in the bridge and a GFS overwound alnico in the neck.

nice pic, nice guitar! (finally! haha). And yeah, covered humbuckers should look way better on her. Let´s wait for the new pic when you replace them.

    Enjoy!

These newer Douglas Tele models seem to be going to the aged tint on the necks. The older ones didn't have that.

The neck on this is really good. I don't know how Rondo is able to provide guitars with necks of this quality for this price.
