NUSD new, used, Samick, day. Actually is a "The Samick". Shows it's age, no wear really or chips. Hardware is gold, hard to see from the flash. Color is a cherry red, 9 lbs, 6 oz, but doesn't feel that heavy, why is that? I have to clean it up totally and give it a coat of car wax. Bridge pickup i have no idea, rails but yet red and black. Seymour maybe? Once it's clean and new strings will post some better pictures. Neck feels like a thin 60's and action seems really nice.

I need another LP style like i need a hole in my head, but the quality was there, was marked $250, but i offered $200 instantly and the guy said "sold".

Pulled the bridge pickup, Dimarzio DP102, which is the X2N. I remember those from way back.

Edit for some specs. 42mm nut. Neck thickness .84" at first fret, .94" at 12th. Neck pickup looks like a Epi style with a glued on cover, i have one here almost exact. Small pots, .047 chicklets, will be swapped to full sized pots and .022 quality caps, 50's wiring. Truss rod cover only had 1 screw, removed it and saw all 3 holes. Measured and ordered a bell shape from Ebay, don't know if it will fit. Appears to be a medium or long tenon, goes over 1/2" into the pickup cavity, read some Epi's are also like this. Binding is nicely yellowed.

You think YOU don't need another LP style guitar!

I'm just glad you walked up on that one instead of me, cause I probably would have just given him the $250!

Cleaned it up today, new full sized korean 500ka pots, 50's wiring, .022uf sprague 5% caps, new switch with teflon wiring, knob pointers, gold humbuckers out of Agile 3100 with A4 swap. Found a date code of 8906, so this was of the same era as the original EPI LP's coming out of Korea-Samick with the open book headstock. SAMICK custom LP. 5 ply binding. Have to restring and intonate during the week if it cools down.
