I have a Mustang 3 V2 and it sounds 1000 times better to my ears than this newest version. A video from TTK comparing the real deal to the modeling amp. Fender needs some better patches for this one. IMHO, my Marshall Code 50 out Fender's, Fender. This video was an eye opener.

While I agree that the Modeling amp sounds like it's under a wet blanket, the real deal sounds crappy too.. Likely due to their mic setup or other factors. I've never heard a real Fender sound so bad..WTF

Aw, I saw the title and thought this was about the Mustang guitar model. In Mustangs, I like the guitar, don't care too much for the amp, and hate that Fender used the same name for both.

The GT Mustangs were roundly panned when they first came out. I have a Mustang II V2, and when I checked out the new GTs, I did not feel compelled to "upgrade". When the input jack on my Mustang II crapped out, I got a Super Champ X2, and I'm way happier with that amp... I'm pretty sure it's the tubes. :)

A Boss Katana 100 Combo will eat the Mustang for lunch for the same price AND you get $1K worth of effects built in.

So I've heard. Unfortunately, I've not had the chance to play through one just yet.

I had a Mustang I V2, loaded a Matchless patch and left it until I sold it. I still have a Mustang V and haven’t used it much since I bought a Kemper. It’s still a pretty decent amp. On topic, anyone can make an amp sound good or bad in a video.

The mic's are at different distances from the speaker, and if its a fairly new amp is the speaker broken in. With that said I would not expect it to sound exactly like the Deluxe Reverb.

Some demos can be misleading. Intheblues, for example, demoed and amp I own and quite like (for the price anyhow). He's a good player, better than me. But I can't for the life of me figure out how he made it sound so awful. I think he must've been pissed at Marshall.
