Sitewide, 25% off up to $100. Posted on Slickdeals with this example: Fender Special Edition Standard Stratocaster HSS or SSS. This takes you directly through Google Express: https://express.google.com/u/0/pr...0716_12145 Lists for $499, but after the ONE TIME Google Express 25%/$100 max discount using code EXTRA25, that brings the price down to $399. Best price in recent memory for a MIM Fender. There are other codes around for first-time GE users. YMMV.
Update: I've seen some comments from today that this is no longer working. I went to GE just a few min ago and saw the promotion offered right away. After searching for a few different things I'm no longer seeing it. I'll try to add something to my cart and test it. Edit: "Sorry, the limit has been reached for this promotion." Sorry everyone, false alarm. Maybe try it again later/tomorrow since it supposedly doesn't expire until 7/17?
Worked for me just now... Ordered one of these for $225: Mitchell ms400, from MF. I played one in a GC a while back, and was very impressed. Been on the lookout for a deal. Thanks @RiverDog !
So tempting to get the matching extension cab for my Egnater Rebel. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
Here's an even better deal than the Mitchell I bought - a very similar guitar, brand name (ESP LTD), same price $225. https://express.google.com/u/0/product/1748767695053459553_1474288399046264310_12145 I was debating between the two, the LTD will certainly be easier to sell down the road. As for the OP MIM strat, only the HSS version is on sale: https://express.google.com/u/0/product/9848804768288611425_12465009952648785846_12145 The Google prices seem to be lagging by a day. Both of those were on sale until Sunday or Monday, but have since gone back to their normal prices. Not sure if there isn't a cancellation coming...
What exactly is the point of Google Express? I can find certain items from MF's inventory when I search, but not everything. Why not just use regular Google? This old man is confused.
I thought it was originally created so you could shop for local goods and have them delivered but it appears the idea is actually about buying from multiple stores all in one (online) shopping trip and getting free shipping as long as the total is over $25-$35. No membership fee. I dunno, I haven't used it yet but I'm thinking of taking advantage if I can get the 25% off code to work. One thing I did read is that they charge you state sales tax no matter what, so that's something to keep in mind. Also I read a complaint or 2 on Slickdeals about paying tax on the full, pre-discount amount even when using the coupon code. I can't attest to either of these but wanted to mention them. https://express.google.com/about
Too good to be true I guess. 25% discount with tax is barely better than 15% plus 8% points back with Musician's Friend. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
With a prior promotion, I had used a google service where they buy things from local shops, then send them to you. They hit me with tax even though I live in a state without sales tax. It doesn't seem to be the case this time around though (crosses fingers).
Thanks for posting this, otherwise I wouldn't have looked past the Strat. I've played a couple of the Mitchells too and thought they were a really great guitar...so now I have one coming too. I had just been waiting for the best deal - and this is it. The Mitchell MD300 brown is a really sweet guitar too. I have one of those as well. At 25% it's $149 and that's a hell of a guitar for that price. https://express.google.com/u/0/product/18314869798095722825_3937703149367407274_12145?oc=OgUxMjE0NQ
Also FYI it was nice b/c I was able to use the discount at MF on a brand that they normally exclude from their coupon code discounts
Now it says limit reached. Wtf? Finally found something I wanted. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
