WRHB are a bigger pickup footprint. Listen to them & decide. I read a lot of happy people concerning them.

That guitar is a steal at that price. No paying double there.

    I should add...

Some aftermarket winder mentioned he had acquired a load of cunife and was prepping it to make WRHB's. I wont guess as to who, but I think I remember. I'll look through some threads. It wasnt telenator, who was the ONLY winder to do so. Personally, I wouldn't touch a current maker's set if you want the WR sound. They arent the same despite potentially being a quality product.

Also, the current ad copy for the new Starcaster claims a re-worked WRHB in the CV line. The online vid review sounded great.

I'd mess with the stock WRHB's first.

*edit to add a new thread. Pretty good discussion.

Sounds like there is some hope the latest batch of wrhb are better but I'm guessing this batch of guitars is new old stock and has the old fake fat buckers in it. Then it's another $200 for custom pickups I have no idea I'd even find special.

I’d be all over this, I love the look of those guitars, but I cannot stand how the edge of a tele digs into my forearm.
The only body style I find comfortable is the strat.

Someone else may or may not be in that lowest price ballpark as well:sunglasses:

I cant advertise rewind prices on reverb anymore however as they took down my casino rewind listing.

I didn't mean to dis you bro. I'm definitely a @Buddha Pickups fan (and user!). I was thinking of the guys that do full-on rebuilds (new bobbins, magnets, etc.) for WRHBs to get them slightly closer to the originals, rather than just rewinds. I'd lay money on a Buddha-rewound WRHB RI being great.

    Respect :)

My bad. I was looking at the Slickdeals post and thought it was showing as dead/expired. If you can still get it that's great!

Looks dead to me. It was available "on backorder" earlier today, but it looks like they don't plan on restocking these.

Figures. As I was doing dishes I thought to myself I'd rather have one of these than the new '16 BSB CV still in the box that i'm sitting on. I have plenty of SC teles, but nothing like a '72. Oh well. Money saved.

No worries man, I just assumed you didn't think I offered rewinds cause I dont advertise for it.
I can get the threaded mags too but I've yet to do one cause they are a bit pricey.

Did Reverb give you any explanation as to why they removed your rewind listing?

Yes. They said I'm not allowed to list services. Such as a customer sending me an item to rewind and return.

Their logic escapes me. I guess that would mean if somebody had some unique material that they wanted to send @tvvoodoo to make into a strap, that wouldn't be allowed either...
