Try before you buy if at all possible. I know someone on here has one of the solid bodies and says it is great. I was thinking of buying one of these when proaudiostar was blowing them out. I was disappointed with the ones at GC I was able to get my hands on (hollow and semi-hollow).

There are models made in China or Indonesia. Then there are models made in Korea. The Korean models played much better to me when I tried them at GC. But did not play as well as my Ibanez semi-hollow. Your experience may vary.

When it comes to blue semihollow body guitars, think I'll stick with my blue Gretsch 5622t

I know the headstock has it's haters but I love it. The tuners are an acquired taste, I'll admit.
Those Hot P-90's are excellent though, excellent upper-mids response and very little noise or hum.
For the price, I think it's a pretty fair deal. I've been really happy with the quality of the D'Angelico guitars lately.

NYC is only for their USA Custom guitars. China, Korea, and Indonesia for the rest.

I think that head works great on the bigger body electrics guitars. Not so much on full acoustics and just crazy wrong on stripped down electrics like a jr type.

I would tone the headstock down by replacing the tuners and the truss-rod cover with simpler designs.

    along these lines
