In his Anderton TV appearance last year, Mark Agnesi mentioned upcoming changes to the Epiphone line. Here's the first (AFAIK) glimpse at the new headstock design, as well as a new model for Epi.

    From the guitar.com Instagram account:

@gibsonguitar has announced its new @epiphone line for 2020, which includes updated #lespaul models. The most noticeable upgrade among a raft of changes is the open-book ‘Kalamazoo’ headstock. We reckon it looks killer, but what do you think? Head to Guitar.com for the full story.

If they come out with a Junior DC I will be on that like bird poop on a freshly washed car bump.

I like that a lot - I think there was maybe a thread on this a while back too? Now if they could get rid of the funk flat-D neck profile I'd seriously consider one.

They should have just used the actual Gibson headstock design. I do like the new design better than before. It wouldn't be any different than Squier and Fender having the same headstock. What blows my mind is they used the actual Gibson headstock on the super cheap Maestro guitars that were lower end than the low end of the Epiphone guitars.

It's a good start. Now if they'd only give them a proper truss rod cover. Nothing says "Asian import" like a three screw truss rod cover.

I like it. I never knew how vain and petty I was until I sold my Epis because I couldn't stand the headstock. Nice guitars too :(

I’ve never had a problem with Epiphone headstocks, but I do think these look cool.

Those PG's scream Maestro or low end First Act.

A Firebird back in the Epi 2020 line? Wow.

Their not new, actually they are going back to some of the originally designed by Epiphone head stocks which are much better than the dogeared ones they have been using. And I do like them much better than the Gibson head stocks, IMHO.

I don't see the entire point, either from Epiphone's perspective or Gibson's. Yeah the headstock is closer but does that lower the sales of Gibsons?

I played one recently and really liked it. I'm not crazy about the front route/huge pickguard though. I like the original 50s design.

These look great! I'm sure they'll sell a ton as long as they price them the same.
