I got this today at my local pawn shop today for $39.99. It's a nice guitar, pretty well made, pickups sound good.It is very light , nice birdseye maple neck. Do you know who made these?

    Hngd!
No idea who made these, but I just wanted to say that any guitar that works and sounds good for $39.95 is a major score.
    Congrats!:D

The volume knob alone is worth the $40. Congrats!

Thanks! The only information beyond hearsay I have found on these guitars came from this post from The Parker Guitars Forum:

"Some web research and an e-mail exchange with Pignose support revealed that the Pignose Pro Stratocaster was introduced sometime around 2000 to sell at the Costco music road shows. They were imported instruments, and the price was about $130. The line was discontinued in 2004... but no serial numbers are present on the instruments, so exact dating isn't possible"

Below is a photo of the original box

The Costco Road Shows are a test market for new products and for companies hoping to become regular Costco venders.Maybe that is why these are better quality guitars than what you might expect from a cheap strat copy(solid alder body, birdseye maple neck,aLnico pickups, nice tuners etc).

    My cheapies(relatively) $1577.99,$39.99 and $38.99

I just wonder how long it is until pigs everywhere ban together & protest this products name in honor of our "hyper sensitive society"......hopefully they don't discontinue bacon or we are all screwed !
