I’m trying to find a hardshell case for a preowned replica of a 59 Custom Shop Flying V I picked up.
The Epiphone and Gibson cases don’t give internal dimensions and none of the prints I’ve come across online for the V have the actual dimensions of the guitar so I’m uncertain if this replica is proportionate in size.
My guitar measures 45” in total length and from tip to tip on the V is 18 1/2”
I believe the Gator GW Extreme case would fit but I’d like to try and find a fitted case if possible. The Coffin Extreme case would fit also
The aftermarket cases I see for the V’s aren’t wide enough but I’m wondering if the Epi V and the other Gibson V’s might have smaller proportions than the 59 reissue.
If anyone might have dimensions of an actual Epi or Gibson V it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you! No rush at all. I appreciate it. Love to see a photo of it as well.

Ha! I'm at home, but my Epi V is at work. I'll measure guitar and case on Monday. I bought it with a really nice aftermarket case. I'll find out what brand too.

    I have a V with a that shape as well as a 2019 Gibson Flying V.

The Gibby is 45" tall by 16" wide at the tip of the wings.

The Chibson will not fit in the Gibson V Case, but mine looks more than 2" wider. (Just mewasured, my Chibson is 19" at wings...)

I think the only one these Chibson Vs might fit in is an Epiphone Joe Bonamassa Amos case

Thanks @honyock . So far the Extreme Coffin Case seems to be the only case with interior dimensions that would work with the Chibson V but I really don't want to spend that much on a case for a Chibson so the search continues.
I believe you'd be right about the Amos case. His V is a 58.

Thats how I ended up with a gig bag for mine, I already paid too much for mine since it was a custom that wasn't done all that well...So it lives in a cheap, yet still decent Thomann gig bag until I decide to fix the issues.

I actually got mine from a fairly well known lefty guitar reviewer who ordered it from Ebay. Worst thing with mine is a poorly installed and cut nut that would need replaced any way and the body ground wire wasn't attached. Another issue is that the neck was made about 3/16" to long or the fret board is 3/16" to short. I haven't taken the time to measure them as of yet. The frets seem to be level by my novice inspection. It actually plays pretty well. The pickups are wax potted and sound better than some of the upper end Agile's I have surprisingly.

Here you can see the extra area on the neck and the poorly made and installed nut but I have no complaints for the money. Weight is right on at 7 lbs with other V’s I’ve found as well.

    Heres some measurements I grabbed.
16.5 " across and 21" to the 19th fret where it meets with the neck
Mine is a 79 or so gibson.

Careful with the nut. If that measurement is off at all or a bit too tall intonation goes to hell and nothing you do at the bridge will fix it. Doing something that weird at the nut would make me very suspicious

Thanks for the heads up. I'm going to have to measure and see what I've got for scale length.

I think you mentioned that Thomann gig bag to me. I found something on ebay that kind of blows me away quality wise, for super cheap. It's got that heavy/thick padded front & back & a nice zipper.

If it's wrong you'll hear it. And intonation wont fix it. If using a capo fixes it; the nut is the problem.

When I got my Chibson V they offered a “V “shaped case with it. My guitars don’t leave the house so I had no need for it.
