Made by Metalin' Guitars, this was their prototype for the "Quilt Top" line of telecaster and used in all of their advertising, same serial number and everything. Machined from a single piece of aluminum with a detachable back to access the electronics, aluminum pickguard, graphite and carbon fiber neck and Seymour Duncan hot Tele pickups. I contacted the company about getting a humbucker bridge and pickguard for it, and they sent along a bunch of pictures of the building process for this guitar.

Neat! Guessing this is why you stopped looking for that AS1000, haha (think that was you anyway).

    Stainless frets?

It's a Moses graphite neck, which I don't believe they ever offered stainless frets.

Being in STL, I've seen one of these for sale on FB or CL in the past. Definitely a good looking guitar that interests me. I've thought about getting an Aluminum guitar in the past. Been curious as to how was they are to dent, how much they cost, etc.

Very Cool, How does it sound? I am trying to imagine a hollow metal guitar sound. Very cool guitar!

Resonates a ton, sounds a lot like a hollowbody. Sustain is crazy.

Cool... Not what I thought when you said "quilted top". Looks spendy, though.

And you know... The humbucker is supposed to go in the neck position on a Tele (unless there are two HBs, of course). :)

There will definitely be two. This will sound huge when I'm done. I have a set of PRS 57/08s and a set of Gibson 490r/498t pickups that I'm going to experiment with to see which sounds best in it.
