It's all the rage now and hey, his was done by a professional
Might be worth it if you want to refinish it. It's got decent specs if you can get past the fact that it currently looks like shit.
on the plus side its currently pretty inexpensive
To each his own I suppose. Looks like he tied it to the bumper of his truck and drove down a gravel road.
Looks like he was counting up his days in solitary confinement on the back of the headstock. I bet it can play some low low down blues.
As far as relic jobs go thats pretty well done. The pick ups just don't look right to me
Looks like it was bit by a walker.
I was thinking it looks like he took a weed whacker to it
It's like 1/3 of the way there for a SRV #1 project.
Not my cuppa.
I don't hate relicing as much as some people - the Fender Road Worns look pretty cool, I think, and having played a few they feel amazing. But that is a bit overkill to my eye.
Depends on the player whether the relic is cool or not. When one watched Kurt Cobain perform, one could easily understand why his guitars were all beat to hell and back.
I like relic guitars, but for me it should be subtle. The one in the OP is ridiculous.
The ONLY value in a relic is the value of the parts one can scrounge off it before tossing the remainder on a fire.
I formed that opinion when I saw my first relic and nothing I've seen since has changed it.
The pick guard and electronics look way out of place, they should be fucked up as well.
as relics go, it looks like a pretty good one except for the plastics.
I've got a guitar from my grandfather that was gigged by both him and my uncle for about 10 years each then left in a Florida garage for another 10 years. Doesn't look close to that bad.
Here's a picture just because.
I was thinking the $200 was a buy it now price. Didn't realize it was just a bid. Definitely wouldn't pay more than $200 for that thing.
I can't understand doing this on what is blatantly a thick poly-coated MIM Fender. To each their own, but to me it is very unattractive. He's listed about 4 of those recently.
