In another thread (this one) http://www.aguitarforum.com/threads/feeling-mostly-uninspired.97483/ I was talking about how life and all of it's BS has left me largely uninspired to write new music. My "therapy" for that dilemma was to learn and record a cover song a month in the hope that it jars something loose and that it at least keeps my playing and recording chops up. To that end, I present the first song in the series. Start simple and work your way out I say. I really don't solo, so if I'm going to do all of this myself I've got to find songs that really don't have elaborate solos (or solos at all in this case). I'm a huge Judas Priest fan and yeah, this is an easy song, but it is pretty fast. So it didn't take me long to learn it, but triple tracking guitars on each side did take some warming up and precision. I played all of the instruments, sang all of it, and mixed it (mixed it this morning). $60 stock Epiphone Les Paul Jr. in the right speaker, my namesake Gibson LP in the left speaker. Hope you enjoy it. "Breakin' the what??!!!"
