I recently purchased a lefty AL-3200 MCC Oceanburst Flame and really love it. This 3010 popped up the other day so I was curious. The seller didn’t know much about it as it belonged to her recently departed husband so I made an offer based on what I could see in the photos and she accepted. As soon as it arrives I’ll provide an update. Until then here are the photos that were provided in the listing. In the photos it appears that 3 of the 4 pots are missing and it looks like the one knob there is from a Strat. I’m not sure if the pickups have been changed or if it’s just the angle the photo was taken. That has the potential to be a real steal. Definitely let us know what you ended up with...

If nothing else the covers were removed from the pickups but that isn't an issue. That model is the 3010 SE by the way. The regular 3010 had multiply binding on the body and headstock and Graphtech bridge. I think the 3010 SE has graphtech saddles and a generic bridge with single ply binding. Serious potential for certain.

I sure will. I asked them to make sure they package it securely and protect the neck and headstock due to their inexperience with guitars. We shall see.

    You're on a roll man - guitar 9 correct?

Thanks @warped . I did include SE in the title when I made the post. You are correct. This does have the Graphtech nut and saddles as well as the single ply binding. It’ll be interesting to see what is going on with the pots or lack there of.

You are correct sir! I also have a lefty Jazzmaster body on the way from USA Custom Guitars that I ordered back in May. It’s due to show up any day. I also have a lefty 2011 Fender American Standard Tele that will be delivered tomorrow. View attachment 5a144acab83d11b614e34eb28a4cd06e.png

LOL! Well it would be great to think so but my wife would scalp me for sure. I also have an affliction for Muscle Cars and 72-93 Dodge pickups. I have 6 in total of those so I have to tread lightly and very craftily with the guitars. This photo pretty much sums it up!

Scalps are overrated. Get some more guitars.

With the kinds weird stuff done to it I'd be worried and keep the price pretty low but if its unmolested except needing pots huge score. Good luck

Good luck with it I did offer a very lowball offer due to probably unwarranted fears of neck problems. Actually what really bothered me was her statement that she knew nothing about it but it worked even though it's missing 3 pots.

I had the same concern since she told me the same thing. I made the offer expecting the guitar not to be operational even though she said it plays. I’m expecting the worst as far as the electronics and wiring are concerned. Those issues won’t be expensive to replace.

yeah it's a 3010se, if you like the look of it it should have pretty good bones even if you have to replace all the electronics. weird that someone would do that to it in the first place, though, maybe he died of bad taste.

I'm wondering if the one remaining control is a master volume with everything else just going straight through. I'm also curious about those pickups. I wanted to see too if she had listed any other guitars her late husband might have had (who out there's sole guitar is a stripped down Agile?) but the link now takes you to a different guitar listed by a different seller...
