Edit: head is gone. Cabinet still for sale. $125 plus shipping or may accept a trade offer. Well the day has finally come to let my beloved Attitube G20 go. Ironically, it was exactly two years ago to the day that I bought this thing. I had planned to keep it forever, and I'd still love to do so, but I just bought @tonebender Jeff's Traynor YBA-1 amp and 1x15 cab this morning (I'll have to do a NAD post), AND I have a Marshall DSL40C coming in 2 days because hey, Marshall. I don't have room for a guitar amp museum so something has to go. I reached out to @andrewsrea Rob a few weeks ago to ask his opinion on the amp's topology because I was curious. He said it's most likely based on Marshall's early 70s JMP Lead 20 amp (model 2022), which itself was based on the 60s JTM45. It's all point-to-point, hand-wired and sounds just amazing. It's also very LOUD! I would totally believe it if I didn't own one and someone told me it was 40 or 50 watts after hearing it. The amp and cab are 100% stock. The tubes are JJs.
Here's the whole thread from when I discovered it and eventually bought one. A few other folks here bought one, too. Other than a few YT videos, there's not much info out there otherwise. https://www.aguitarforum.com/threads/anyone-familiar-with-the-shaman-attitube-g20-amp.90730/
Seems like just yesterday when you bought that. Wasn't it in Flagler? I came real close. Good Luck with the sale it looks brand spanking new!!!
Yep Z Music in Flagler. Thanks man! I've tried to do this before and ended up changing my mind but no going back this time.
I know how that goes. I get ready to sell something and take it out and check to make sure everything works and then dayum why am I going to sell this? The truth is we can't (or most of us) play everything we own and in my case a lot of stuff just sits collecting dust. Thankfully, I don't need the money but selling stuff fuels the next big adventure.
I had the head, I go down 95 on vacation and made it a point to stop at Z music to get one. I got luckey and he had one that shaman ran out of speakers and sent him a box promising to send a speaker to put in the cab and never sent it so I was able to get just the head instead of having to buy the combo. Was a great head. I traded it for 2 guitars. One of those things , I have the Bedrock 600 head , a Peavey XXL 1/2 stack and my 65 Magnatone , More amps than I need.
This cabinet is the only one I have. I've tried other cabinets at GC (both new and used) but there's nothing else than can handle this wattage and sound as good that I've found (yet). The only thing I don't like about it is that it has no handles. In every other way it's awesome.
