That guitar sounds really good! I had a Washburn Raven years ago from the early 80s. My favorite early 80s wasburn is the one Carlos Cavazo played at the US Festival and in some of the Quiet Riot videos.

That's really cool. I didn't know they made an N3. Is that fro the Mid 90s?

Not sure of the age -- I got mine in 2004, I think.....?

There was also a US made N3 that was in many ways a N4 with a maple board.

@peskypesky I think you may be the one that brought it to my attention back then. I waffled and they sold out. A few weeks later I was starting a cruise and testing my internet access on my phone as we sailed away and there it was again for about $200 or so. So I went for it. As my my signal died. Had to refresh a bunch as it kept timing out. For awhile I wasn't sure if I got it or if I bought 6 of them :) Couldn't confirm my email till the next stop.

It also looks like there are two Bill Lawrence pickups in that guitar. I actually never knew these guitars existed.

The pickups might be a personal choice by the owner.

Nuno uses an N3 in the "Decadence Dance" video.

Had a PS 7000...sold it. No real love for the Star Child.

Have a Washburn Idol Pro LP copy i bought about 10 days before i joined here. It's really buried in the closet and has about 1 hour of play time. I should get rid of it.

I got this one quite a while ago. Had to dig it out; it doesn't get too much playing time. Too bad! I just played it again and remembered how cool it is. Plays well, and some slick synthetic fretboard.

Sadly I have very few photos of the WP-50 that I left behind when I moved to the US. As you can see, I gave it the Sykes treatment - it looked amazing on stage and got quite a lot of attention. Second pic has been shared here before, as The Crow for a Halloween gig (just in case anyone thought that's how I went out for all my gigs!)

I’ve seen that one too. I thought you were planning on getting rid of some guitars and amps.

Unrelated but I still owe you lunch. Don’t make me send Filipino food to your office!

I liked that line of guitars a lot. For a time, you could nab them on eBay for like $260 Cdn. I should have jumped, but didn't. Woe is me.

I think Washburn did get the cease and desist from Gibson when these first came out. They change the selector switch position on subsequent models...maybe for one or two more years? Definitely was some sort of "Sue" issues here.

1981 (or 82? I always forget) Washburn SB-8 T-Bird Deluxe. With OHSC, rare set neck, and coil split in the neck position. I freaking love this guitar! That's it, she's coming out to play this weekend.

I owned this for a few months. Someone offered me too much money for it and off it went. FC74E7F7-224F-4DD9-8ECE-563D6967ED3B.jpeg

Don't sense any remorse at the sale.
