So apparently a new Well-Hung customer, (ok USER) picked up one of my straps over the weekend at the local music shop. He was in town over the weekend on a mini festival tour. Jimmy Bowskill, the dude with the triple custom, told the shop owner he LOVED my strap, and was going to put in on the cover of the next album, (I'll believe that when I see it). He's now touring as lead with the Sheepdogs, (I've posted about them before). Bowskill was another one of those early bloomer guitar stars as a kid and has recorded with Canadian heavyweights Jeff Healey and Blue Rodeo, toured with some fellas named Joe B. and Jeff Beck. So, it's fair to say I am fairly pleased he digs my strap. Still, I put a LOT of work into those, and have messaged him on facebook, asking him to pay up! (in the nicest way possible, while offering to outfit the rest of the band, if he does). He picked up one of my Warrior series straps. There was a total 7. Tobijohn has one, and he will tell you it is Fine with a capital "F". I have three left. Funny... so Jim-bob needs a strap for the gig, shows up at the local store, picks mine, then hands my friend Jared (the guitar tech at the shop) a backstage pass. Says he should come over, catch up with the road manager and get paid for the strap, as he happened to be carrying no money at the time. Who goes shopping without any money, and since when are backstage passes legal tender? I guess maybe if you are a rock star.... LOL! Jared tells me when he went to the venue later in the afternoon, he got to jam with the band in the trailer for about 45 minutes, while they were killing some time/warming up. JEALOUS!!!!!!
