I was just looking at the SX Callisto CUS BK on Rondo's website, thinking to myself that the headstock is one of the best variations on the Gibson theme I've seen. Very classy looking, nicely proportioned, more "crisp," just looks right all around to my eye. I much prefer it to the "Gumby" look of the Agile AL as well as the other SX LP copies I've seen.

But then I looked at photos of what I assumed was the same guitar from other angles and realized that the headstock was completely different in one of those shots. I'd hate to be the guy who orders what he thought was the guitars on the left and receives the guitar on the right.

Yeah, I know all about Rondo's great return policy, that Kurt can be shot an email before ordering to verify which it is, and that contradictory product descriptions are par for the course on the Rondo website.

But truthfully, I find returns almost as frustrating as interpreting Kurt's email responses. ;):ROFLMAO:

Both still a little wierd. But I could live with either but I do prefer the left too a bit.

My Callistos from earlier this year all have the right hand headstock.

SX website shows both shapes on their LP models.

I like the offset 'open book' for the bound head stock and the non, for the no binding head stock.
