Just arrives yesterday. I haven't had much time to play it yet but so far I am very pleased. For $135 I couldn't really ask for more. Fit and finish is great, action was pretty decent out of the box. Stock pickups sound surprisingly good through my Vypyr tube 60 and Valve jr. Full thickness body which is nice and I love the inlays. Fretboard is super dry though and in dire need of some oil. Looking at the back, it looks like a 3 piece body. The way the 3 pieces are though makes it look like a neck through, lol. Overall I am very happy with this one. Glad I got it as I have a feeling we may not see these back on the site once they are gone.

I really like the plain top. Sure wish there had been a lefty version of that offered, even at $200. BTW, it looks like it's sold out...

The more I look at the top the less is looks like Mahogany to me. The back looks like mahogany for sure. I could be wrong though.

Same. I can't tell you how many times I looked at the Black or Gold CUS & had been tempted. Now i'm kicking myself for not moving on the gold one, but the CSB for $135 will drown my woes.

My first go 'round had a lot of grain peaking through the front. Looked like mahawg to me.

    Great pics. Thanks.

FWIW, the back on my new-run 3010se looks like that. Not quite as noticeable, but yeah, almost looks like neck-through.

Edit: almost forgot....happy NGD! Nice looking unit for a great price. Good thing I'm not a huge fan of gold hw or clownburst, but if I saw one in a pawn or GC.......

Yep, the back of mine shows three pieces as well.
I am curious about the wood grain appearance of the top - seems a bit different?
I may want to take the covers off and look. There may be more clues about the construction.

I like it a lot, easy to play, great looks.

Paired with the Blackstar ID Core10, that is one cheap and fun package!

Seems a much better deal than the 1900. I've found my last few sx' to be just as fine tuned as my agile. So might as well get the sx with better specs. I just feel a lp should be a fixed neck or it ain't am lp.

And the headstock logo in abalone, I like it! Seems much better than the AL-2000
