Dad just had heart surgery today so I haven't had time to play it much, but I plugged it in and everything works.

Great job on the fit and finish, can't find a flaw. Neck pocket is nice and tight. Action and intonation are just about perfect. Little tweak maybe.

I can't even remember the last instrument I bought from Rondo. Glad to see the quality is still pretty good.

That's a looker for sure, and it is good to see that you can still get a lot of guitar for not a lot of dough from Kurt. Best wishes to your pop for a speedy recovery.

Hope all went well for your father. I've already got the same one in CAR but that is tempting. Also as nice as that looks as is, may I suggest a crème pickguard to go with the binding? As minor a mod as that might be, it really made a difference on mine...

Thanks. He's doing good. Recovering now in ICU.

I'm actually thinking of going rosewood fretboard for this one and yes, a cream guard. Prolly do locking tuners and new pickups eventually too.

I really like the way this looks ...

That is nice looking but I guess you'd have to use a top loading bridge because of those angled SX ferrules. Also, do you already have the neck? If not and you have nothing specific in mind, I'll have one from a Douglas Gravity (the P90 semi-hollow model) shortly that I'd trade you for that stock one. I'm converting it to a 12 string and bought one of those cheap Cozart 12 strings specifically for the neck:

I was actually going to have the same guy that built my strat neck do one for this. I guess I'll keep the stock bridge, cause I don't like the top loaders very much.

Well if and when you replace the stock neck, don't toss it before talking to me...:)

guitar looks great, and good news about your father, whole lot of win going on.

that double bound with the rosewood looks cool, if you are getting it custom made, maybe go ebony?

That's a possibility too. He has tons of stuff to choose from. Lots of shit I've never even heard of.

Congrats; nice looking. Good luck in changing the pickguard; that's always an adventure.
