I'm about halfway done with mods to this guitar. Wired up the little puncher bridge pip and gave it a go tonight. This pickup is miles ahead of the stock pickup the guitar came with. While I don't have a ton of experience with teles, this is what I imagined a Tele should sound like. Tons of twang and definition, kick on a Tubescreamer and I'm getting this growly ballsy low end.

The neck pup has to be screwed in to the body unfortunately... GFS decided not to thread the screw holes. Kinda pissed about that.

How about Superglueing a couple thin nuts with the proper thread pattern to the baseplate? That's what I do with humbuckers when the holes are stripped out...

Might try this, but there are two solder globs right next to the holes where they soldered the coil winds to the pickup leads. Might not be enough room for the nut.

Can't you just cut your own threads into the existing holes? Use screws slightly larger than the holes. The threads of screw will cut their own matching threads as you screw them in.

Built from one of the old SX ash STL series guitars.

I don't really trust the material the base is made out of to not fall apart or just crack if I did that. Somehow I doubt I'd get a refund...

GFS? You won't get one. But they're cheap anyway.

Just got one these myself a couple weeks ago. Really like it! Your assessment is verbatim from mine. I actually preferred to get the Thinline model, but they are not available and Rondo does not expect any in the near future. So I went with the solid body. Now, to meet my thinline desire, I just saw a Douglas Gravity Sunburst with P90s. I was going to get it, but was too late pulling the trigger. They are now sold out. Now wondering where I can find one or when Rondo will get more of them in. Congrats on your Furrian. Very good choice!

I've had this bad boy for about two years and love it. Replaced the nut, electronics and put some Seymour Duncan's in it and some cosmetic stuff. Great guitar.
