I just want to start this off by thanking @Bubba Zanetti for offering this one at such a great price and for going out of his way to find a great deal on shipping to Hawaii. All in I was able to get her here for over $100 less than it would have cost me direct from Rondo.

So, what more can I say about the Liquid that hasn't already been said. The neck is great (I don't know if Bubba did anything to her), action is how I like it, the P90s sound great (as if P90s couldn't), and she is very comfortable when played sitting. I don't have much experience with a wide range of body styles, but I think I am finding I really like offset/SG body's that push the neck to the left (my fretting hand). The Liquid isn't as drastic as my SG but close.

If you like how SG's, and I assume offsets, feel than you'll probably like the Liquid.

Thanks again Bubba. But as I told you already, this might have been a bad thing as my eye has already been wandering to all of the other Liquid configurations which won't make the missus happy.

And for all you naysayers that require proof, here she is next to the young coconut tree (and weeds).

Yup, thanks. This is my first Basswood guitar and although I'd heard it isn't a pretty wood I have to say I think the grain pattern is very pretty. And sounds great too.

Congrats and I'm very happy that the shipping gods were kind to us. That picture just gave me instant seller's remorse, and that's actually a good thing! In reality, I'm very happy for you, she's a great guitar, enjoy the hell out it! I wonder how coconut tree bark/pulp/wood would fare as an instrument making wood? Just kidding.

I played mine last week or so and was so impressed with the tonal range, I sent TJ an email. And mine doesn't even have the great pickups yours does Pesky. I still have the orange neck too. I'm too scared to @HowardLo Citri Strip this baby. They're very strange looking guitars, but have some kind of a coolness to them. I enjoy mine a bunch.

HNGD - a beauty and a player, congrats!

I can't imagine you live in a guitar friendly climate. How do you handle the Hawaiian humidity?

Actually I haven't had any problems. Our temp and humidity doesn't fluctuate too much.

I was stationed at Pearl Harbor back in the '70s while in the Navy and I do remember each day was pretty much the same. I didn't own a guitar, however, then while aboard a ship so I can't speak of any weather problems.

Congratulations, that's a beauty and a great guitar! Bubba can attest, I really wanted that guitar! I have three Liquids, all with P-90s and they ROCK. I like the basswood bodies just fine. My three have great tuning stability. The shape and weight are perfect - it's just a real well designed instrument. I share your desire to own all available colors and configurations. If the wife's an issue, have Kurt ship them in one of the special boxes I asked him to obtain:

I attempted to Google Translate "No Guitar in this Box, Hoss" into Hawaiian, but they don't have Hawaiian as a choice.

I might have to venture over to order some of those Harmonic Design pickups.
