How do I lower the action on my SX Liquid. The bridge looks like a Tune-O-Matic but there is no toothed wheel for adjusting.

if it is a SJM, there are little grub screws in the holes. Takes a little allen key, I think same as saddles, but might be different, can't remember anymore.

The Liquid came with the TOM bridge. It should just be a flathead screwdriver.

Thanks. That’s what I thought but I’m very ignorant about that stuff. A TOM bridge. Thanks again.

    Clockwise to lower, or counterclockwise?

Clockwise to lower a Tune-o-matic bridge just like you''d tighten a screw...

Speaking of SX liquids, I wanted the two pickup model and had to settle for the three, as that’s all Rondo had in CAR. To remove the middle pickup, do I just remove the hot wire from the pot or is there something else that I need to do, electrical-wise?

I don't have a liquid yet, working on that, and I also want to make it a two pickup. I don't know if it is wired different than what I would think; but if it's like a strat you will have to do some wire changing, change to 3 position switch, or at least jumping on your selector switch or you will only have (1-bridge, 2-bridge, 3-grounded, 4-neck, 5-neck.) If you keep a 5-way switch you can do phase/polarity stuff.

    Get out the soldering iron.

I'm not sure why you want to do this but my suggestion is to instead add a switch that allows you to turn on the bridge pup regardless of the switch position.

This gives you 2 more tones, the neck and bridge combination, which you would have if you removed the middle pup, and also all three pups on.

If you're going to go that route, i assume you'll be having a custom pickguard cut in which case the simplest thing to do would be to just use a three way toggle switch and either wire it up like the two pickup Liquids with a master volume/tone setup or add a couple more pots and have the traditional separate volume/tone controls for each pickups...

I like those new-ish headstocks more than the Furrian style. Looks much better.

Your bridge adjustment is visible in your image via the slot head.

I had to put a shim in mind to get the action where I wanted it. Seems like I always need to do one fret level when I first get an SX guitar and then again a year later after its been through a year's worth of climate changes.

Yeah, thanks bud. I think the whole guitar looks cool. Number one reason I bought it. Paint job is sweet, much better than I expected.
