Tarantino's a cunt and I'll never give him a dime by watching any of his stuff.

I just saw that trailer. I'll probably go see it that week, but not on Xmas. I'll probably have to go alone though, the wife doesn't dig the language or violence in his films.

I'm missing something here, methinks. Anything specific you're referring to or is it just him?

The news says that Tarantino is against police brutality. It also says that the police say if he is against police brutality, he is against the police and therefore he is their enemy. The police have threatened that 'something may happen to him.'

Where's your beef with QT? I've had a beer with him in Hwood

His stance is no more different than mine vis-a-vis cops. Only no one gives a shit about what I think :)

He's calling cops murderers, NOT saying police brutality isn't cool (which it isn't). I don't love all cops trust me, but spreading inflammatory stuff like that isn't cool at all.

I'm not in love with cops either, but they're not all murders and there are plenty of good cops. He's spreading inflammatory hyperbole.

I agree, he spoke out and marched against excessive force, brutality and abuse of power. Now hes being 'threatened' with economic impact for speaking his mind. I'm kind of with him on this, unless I missed something.

So you're saying you're anti first ammendment?

He oversimplified just like ANY stereotype which we all use from time to time. He's not stating anything false. Cops ARE assailants and murders VERY commonly these days. I'm not saying it's even anywhere near a majority, hell it could be 1 per 1000 but that makes no difference - it's still happening and it's still a problem.

He specifically called police murderers. That's very different from speaking out against excessive force.

What I read, he isn't/didn't call ALL cops murderers, just specific ones involved in specific incidents. Read the 2nd link I posted above.

There is using "words", and there is making veiled threats.

    Appalling.

If we're getting mad at QT here, we're practicing victim blaming. Stereotypes are stereotypes for a reason.

My skin is brown and I like tacos and burritos. Cops abuse their power and kill people. Seems like an awful lot lately.

    No news here.

No, I'm not anti 1st amendment, I'm just voting with my wallet. Using the word "SOME" is very important in this case. He's encouraging more clashes with the cops and the public.

well , there are bad cops, and there are enablers, but let's not get into it here. the other day my wife and i walked past a bunch of cops gathered for the halloween parade and the first thing she said was she felt unsafe and intimidated with them gathered like that. this was coming from a white blue-eyed blonde american girl.
