As the definition of "alp" is "snow topped mountain."
    Where is the snow? :)

I was born and raised very near the Alps, and I did not know that. Heading to Wikipedia pronto!

Ah, "Alp" is also German for Alpine pasture. That's more generic.

@tonray, very nice. How did you get there?

I was taught in French class that alp meant snow topped mountain. :)

Every time I hear or see, "Thai", I think of the deliciously spicy "sticks" that used to float across to our shores in the hazey 1970's.

Never really tasted any thing as yummy as those were.

Now the food and beautiful landscapes that Tone Ray keeps showing us, I am being led to someday discover.

    (Bucket list).

More like hills as opposed to matterhorn type mountains but still quite a few areas in the north central region.

@tonray I followed your link. I love all the pictures, but today I was all about the food. That alone makes me want to get over there for a while.

Followed. My Fiance just spent some time in Thailand and a few of the surrounding countries, it looked unbelievable and definitely on my list of travel destinations.

It is so ponderous to post multiple pics here I don't often do it but I do post all on Instagram and you do not need app or membership to view.
