For me it's a no brainer, the clear ugliest headstock shape and size goes to PRS. They don't look proportionate to the actual guitars. Way too small. The John Mayer model headstock makes me want barf. It just doesn't go with the guitar at all.

    What say you???

I like blingy looking headstocks. My personal fave is the HS on my Epiphone Les Paul Custom Pro. My second favorite is the HS on my MIK Epi Sheraton II.

Overall, my favorite classic HS is clearly the Gibson LP and 335 types. They scream, AWESOMENESS. but I don't own me no Big G's.

As mentioned many moons ago, I use to get all hot and bothered by PRS guitars. It's odd how my taste has changed over the years.

Wouldn't say they're the ugliest....but Suhr. They make me cringe.

Kinda SX (ish) I agree. They're allegedly top notch guitars though, like PRS.

Maybe I get killed here, but I´ve never liked this HS style on Telecasters. Maybe it is not the absolute ugliest HS, but...

That PRS headstock has me running from the room screaming with my hands waving over my head and that goes double for Deans. Schechters also leave me with a slight case of indigestion....

All fugly headstock designs can be attributed to the legal ramifications of guitar design cease and desist letters from Fender and Gibson. But apparently the major vendors don't translate them into Chinese before mailing as evidenced by Aliexpress inventory

what I don't understand is why Ibanez doesnt use the cooler "castle" headstock on their semi-hollows:

rather than the sort of dorky one they use:

I rather think they've improved quite a bit these past few years. Another example:

Dean headstocks are ugly. But this is one of my most stable guitars, always in tune.

While PRS' headstocks aren't my fave, I think this one beats it for the ugly title:

    20181003_200931.jpg

    It's a great guitar, tho.

This is extremely subjective. I love the PRS headstock.

    My least favorite, are Deans

Not a big fan of Epi either:

    And I'm with @sabasgr68 , I don't like the tele headstock either.

I don't like those big sharp down-pointing Jackson headstocks.

Until this thread I've always thought it was the Epiphone "Joe Pass"
