It looked alright. But the part of the box that was torn was right by the high string tuners. And they didn’t hold tune very well and seemed wobbly. I don’t know if it’s just cheap tuners or it was damaged. So I decided to return it.

I think you can still see their Facebook page even if you don't have an account. Just Google "Firebird Music Facebook." I actually did that this morning was able to see all kinds of stuff. Much better pictures than presented on Amazon also.

I was not impressed by the firefly solid body finish's at all, my impression was that they are cheap because they are cheap. I like my FF338 but I'm playing my Gretsch now. I found that my FF pups are definitely micro phonic. When I switch form 5 watt to 50 with the Katana I cant get anywhere near it. I still think its a nice modding platform but I guess I'm over it unless as I have said before they come out with a really super top that grabs me. I doubt I'll buy any of their solid body guitars.

Maybe take a pic of the box and note the tuners and they would refund some money helping pay for the new tuners most people want to put on it anyway. Perfect!

When I received mine in early June, I received the 10ft cord but not the picks. So I called Amazon to see if they'd send them out, however they gave me a $30 credit instead! So in the end I only paid $99 for my 338. Insane.

Sorry it took so long to reply it's older- a 2004. But just picked it up and for some reason it sounds better. Whether it's my ears, expectations or different settings on the amp who knows.

Interesting. I thought it was their newer pups that sounded different/better. Maybe it was just me? Happenstance.

Well it could be with me both amps speakers could be better broken in, or I just didn't get the amps and guitar tone right. Or I had the expectation I wouldn't like them because the internet said they weren't as good a other pups. For all I know newer ones are better, just saying first time in a month plugging it in the pups surprised me.

Fyi, looks like Firefly has a website (sorta).

    https://guitarsgarden.com/

As of right now, they're only listing the FF-338 and the FFTH (Thinline). There's an interesting green one I haven't seen before for $117.

Interesting there is another site besides Amazon selling these. I've seen the green one before. I really don't care for any of the Tele colors, but the price is $20 cheaper than on Amazon. Maybe there are shipping charges? I guess I'd get the Sunburst first and blue 2nd.

Can someone tell me these will fit the 338 using the existing wood screw holes? Thanks! ee62985291fee7e9520045f343727a05.jpg

yes they should due to the hold down screws being at a 45% angle just like the stock ones.
