seems like the glory days of Firefly were fleeting. Not even a year and they've already plummeted to mediocrity? What gives?

They are a very good buy at the bstock price.
    $66 for this one.
I paid another 15 for the Chigsby and I might change out the stop tail if I can find a replacement that'll fit the post spacing.
I'll of course change the pickup eventually as well.

    Good for you!

The HBs you wound for me are the best pickups I’ve ever heard.

My firefly white double cut double P90s guit showed up, it's pretty awesome, but is missing one strap button :ROFLMAO:
I'm really liking it tons though, it compares very well to my Dillion LpJr

I'd say they started at mediocrity, which was pretty amazing for the price. They are now well below that.

I really need to plug my 335 style firefly in.... I bought it right around the time last year when life got crazy for me. The ad still had proper shape but I got the non copy version... I expected this to be the case but still relegated it to wall hanger for its sins. Perhaps tonight I'll plug it in and actually play it.

    Perhaps...

Well finally got around to installing the Amazon bridge, full sized pots and a pair of vintage wind humbuckers. Mucho difference. These are the humbuckers 7.6k and 8.6k, not hot but i like vintage winds alnico. $37

One happened to be zebra but covers are off to stay so that's how she looks. Tuners are Wilkinson 18-1 from Stratosphere, can't beat the price on those either.

Thought the factory nut was bone? Might even be better than a Tusq. You know how to correct the string heights?

I don't have nut files so I tried to improvise using other blades and not happy with the result. For $12 bucks and 30 min I can pop a Tusq XL on there and customize the fit including string height.

By measuring the actual nut specs it looks like the best fit would be the PQL-6060 or PQL - 6061
