Truth be told I simply haven't seen anything that has set me on fire that's in my price range. There are some Japanese FGN guitars that are stellar.. But so is the price (https://fgnguitars.com/)

The only ones that float my boat have been on Aliexpress and debating whether I want to go down that road. But decision coming soon.

I like their T-style guitars and a couple of their basses... They should take some better pictures, I think. They don't really look like anything that expensive... I assume you've seen them in person?

I've never been able to muster up enough desire to want to risk an Ali Express purchase, but if I were to go that route, I'd feel better buying a Fender-style guitar. There's not much that can be wrong with a bolt-on guitar that can't be fixed.

    What's your price range?

Those FGN models are in the 1750 to 2500 range. Up close and personal they are stunning.

I'm looking at 3 guuitars with a total budget for all in the $1000 range. Well see.. OK gotta run more house stuff and the madame is on her way.. Sigh

So you want to buy three guitars for $1,000? Or three guitars for $1,000 each? Or one guitar out of three for $1,000? I'm confused.

It was more a "feel" kinda thing. I think it played ok just didn't like the feel. Didn't play it very long and it didn't compel me to play longer.

I like my sx furrian ash but a few things make it very different from a fender. Mostly the flatter radius for me. Also nice pups but no twang. My ash is much more comfortable with the contoured body. I find even my squier affinity has a more tele feel. Mostly just a trimmer fender.

More like a 13 guitar budget and thats including a usa gibson and 2 usa fenders :)
    https://www.aguitarforum.com/threads/show-your-1000-guitar-collection.18764/
But it helps if you started buying 30 years ago and won a contest :)
But aside from the 2 usa fenders from 20+ years ago the rest was bought in the last 10 including the Gibson SG for 160. And all are usable and most actually excellent players.
This was from a thread asking to show your $1000 guitar collection.

The 3 guitar limit really is more dictated to available space in new house. Small townhouse with no basement or storage outside of a closet under the stairs and 3 electrics and an acoustic will fit perfectly in alcove just next to closet, along with my computer desk/gear stand That's the space I have already claimed as my mini Man cave (ha ha ha) . GF has a lot of stuff...sigh, trying to get her to ditch as much as possible before moving it in.

Here is a pic, note small alcove next to storage closet under stairs:

    Not safe for wife! Haha!

Well... I told myself after getting a Paul Reed Smith guitar and Boss GT-100 that I'm done with GAS. Well... the Heasdrush FRFR-112 came by, and then I told myself I'm done. Then, a Mission Engineering VM-1 came by, and I am finally done with GAS!!!

    ...well, maybe...

Very nice. Good idea to keep the guitar collection reasonable. That way you can keep the PA, bass rig and Drums all set up for easy jam sessions. Very smart! :)
