...is what I've said to my SX Hawk. I've not bonded with it--at all. I finally got it setup pretty well. But I just do not like playing it. :(

I may sell it off. Or I may try one of those $30 K-Mise necks. Otherwise, this will just stay in the corner.

That sucks... I hate it when that happens. Are you sure it's the neck you don't like?

If that guitar don’t start flyin’ right, you’ll have no choice but give it an old fashioned relicin’!

My old man had a fraternity paddle that I became very well acquainted with. His lack of credibility with me began at a very early age with his "This is going to hurt me more than it hurts you" line...

To me SX do great with the Tele style but I can't stand their Strats either.

You don't think guitars should have some protection against abuse .?

I remember vividly the day my step dad cracked me with the belt & it had no affect at all. "Did you just hit me?"

There were no more beatings after that.

Well of course, and I don't condone corporal punishment, but these days you can't even slap a fat finger on one (a very common practice back in my day, I might add) before some do-gooder starts sticking their nose in your business!

Wasn't Corporal Punishment a pro wrestler back in the 80s ?

Now i feel bad because i voted you get the sx. Although I said it should be in natural ash.
No wonder you didn't bond. Paint has no personality. So I put this back on you. :)

I dig SX but its the Alder ones with the big round orange
Necks and cheapo paint that I really love!!!!
Never had one with a head stock like this? All my SX are duckbill headstock.

That thing is to pretty to relic IMO!
Sell it off and snag something new!

it probably acts up because it's scared, you have a decapitated guitar hanging right beside it.

I'm pretty sure its the neck. 100%.

Totally agree. I love--LOVE--my Furrian. It's great and one of my favorites to play.

It just doesn't feel right to me. Like going to Guitar Center and seeing a beautiful guitar only to pick it up and have it play like crapola.

It can't be a Strat thing because I love my Ibanez Roadstar 420. That's a fun guitar. It's got to be this neck. Damn shame.
