Yes, I checked my purchase history on Reverb after I posted and saw that. I don't think I have any of the Wild Thing faux fur ones though...

Working on a couple of interesting things today... first off... some nice light suede, with some extra layers built up underneath to add depth.
Then, I smacked in a whole whack of rivets.

    95d00930917fab78eca44bc22d12361f.jpg

Then I oil it up real good, hand rub for a bit, to impress a nice aged-leather look - some folks are going to totally
recognize this armored theme... kind of fun to make, though a bit labour intensive. Still need to put a backing
on it, add some padding into the shoulder, but I am pleased with how it's coming along. Not heavy either, but
looks like it. Certainly not much protection against Valerian steel or even Dragon Glass for that matter.

    106303db55b870c73c858e79939dfc7b.jpg

Also a strap made out of black tolex with a nice orange "Voice of the World" patch on the frontside

Finished some new ones over the last while and some of these you've already seen. Some for sale, some not yet. Today ended up being "project strap pron" where took a couple of hours to shoot some beauty for you folks, my r/guitarstrapporn subreddit, reverb etc...

Below, inspired by his rather twisted highness, another GOT themed strap from my Well-Hung No Prisoners series... calling this one King Joffrey Baratheon, which features plenty of black leather, gold rivets, chrome rivets, and really cool and detailed lacing, matching nicely on a paisley tele.
A fantastic piece that is showy, sunny and kind of dark all at the same time

    cfb51f8535a61663be8d04da50fd616a.jpg

Better shot of "Exterminator" on my Stellar LP, and Ned Stark on my Hamer refinish, didn't really have the right guitar for the stark strap, but man it's cool as hell.

    c846142cf0c7a2edca11f0cf6d3becd8.jpg
    ab56403b2ce59d7c57a0b82c7ab7d66f.jpg

Better pic of QuickDraw, also from No Prisoners, on the reaper strat. Just about a perfect match here, but I already have a beautifully matched snakeskin for this guitar, so the one below will be riding on to terrorize another town

    93c4f93497a9bbe5abc77f46bd792416.jpg

New one I am calling "The Intimidator" which is definitely not going to make anyone's rig any lighter, that's for sure! Strap is over just 3" wide, and these
are really large, heavy pyramid studs on black leather with rolled edges. This sling should probaly be registered with the feds as a dangerous weapon.

    7d9a3cde0fa1f93f0943131ae6af0b45.jpg

And I think this No Prisoners piece featuring suede cowhide, a perforated distressed finish saddle belt with a whole bunch of teeny gold studs will be called Tyrian

    c5a9e04332d2c560389653a01e61d073.jpg

Finally, that black leather-based dark python thing I was working on before? Now complete and sported jus for fun for display by a "badassled" LP special

Fresh off the workbench today a couple of new Crocogators - running low on this stuff, except for green. Probably the last pure pair of
crocogators in the Wine Red, I'll use the rest up for other ideas, decorative etc.

    522a060ca1327bfd988959486ca5f869.jpg

I didn't put the regular 1" padding in these two, just to change things up a bit.
Went with a couple layers of 3/16" thick yoga mat carefully built inside. Kind of for folks who prefer a very firm mattress maybe?

    1569cf947c3695f367b6da0a42f94d11.jpg

Also, while we are changing things us a bit why not some vintagey German pr0n?

    7d59dde819a76b9460c4d888926587f9.jpg

not the best strap match, but I wanted to get this one out so she can show off her classic ladycurves.
Tonight I am riffin' in a Neil Young flavour

    riffing on young.jpg

    And, next morning.... she's completed....

    335 With shakey fender watermark.jpg
had a black leather and blue denim one too, but it sold off. Should make another - it was smokin' hot.

    shakey series with watermark.jpg

The TwinR Shakey strap was a dream I had, and once it was in my head, I couldn't get it out, so I had to make it. I'm so brimming with concepts I want to try I don't even know what direction to go next. It's kind of painful as I just don't have too much strapping time anymore with the new job.

if the planets align properly, Black Gold Paisley will eventually find it's way to a Black Beauty LP custom somewhere... for now my Hamer DC Golden Wolf refinish seems happy enough to model it.

These peace straps should sell well right now with the woodstock anniversary going on. Just saw 2 bands in 2 weeks going woodstock tributes.

Hey there Mr. VooDoo, I've looked and can't find any green crocogator on your reverb. Is that a special order?

you want an all green strap, or somethign more along these lines sir? 'Cause this was the direction I was thinking with the rest of it. The full green straps were slow sellers. BTW just sent the exterminator below to Toronto this morning

    8353fa95f73b4fbf4b0ad55e495c9fb0.jpg

I was on the verse of doing a groovy tie-dye hippy strap series out of denim, leather fringed, woodstock festival patches, mushroom, butterfles + peace signs patches etc... to commemorate the fifty year thing... then the whole thing fell to shit and I totally lost confidence I'd be able to sell ten after spending a couple hundred bucks on material. I was really excited about it.

    Prince Oberyn is now complete.

    b65e8cddd197776fae4db57d2cffc56e.jpg

Confident in his Dornish provenance and decadent extravagance, Prince Oberyn Of House Martell is possibly the most Honey Badger-like of straps. He simply doesn't give a shit and is secretly super badass, if perhaps just a little too proud of himself.

    dfa0855a5faa804771d5b499a5285a26.jpg

Padded, buckle adjuster at the back, goes from about 44" to about 57" pin-to-pin, in creme stingray vinyl, and frontside is loaded with armor plating, grommets and rivets in antique brass. Should be up on reverb in the next day or so

Exercise: Match each tele with one of the three straps shown. You can only use black once.

Black strap on the blackguard. Everthing else gets the lighter brown with closer grain, far left.

Couple of new ones off the straplab bench today, in my reverb shop...

    43e04cfad36d6df3834cfaece67daed6.jpg

"Beast" is made from cured hide of a Slithy Tove, note the armor-like pebbled grain which is all but impenetrable from both Momraths out grabeing, and deadly swords that can go snicker-snack.

Also, the smoky glass-beaded Red Witch, one of the greatest guitar straps I have made.

They may not remember your face, your guitar, or the licks you ripped. Still, they'll surely remember the guy who wore this doggone strap!

And yet again, cannot post pics from my phone. The message box doesnt even give me the options menu... sigh.

Yesterday, I completed some new Genocide straps out of the new embossed lamb leather. It feels great, but it's so soft that when I make straps out of it, it loses a bit of the skull emboss. When I put it all together, they are more subtle in the skull and bones showing on this all leather version. Subtle is cool too. Three in three different shades here, all Metal AF.

This morning the Straplab was briefly repurposed into a T-shirt lab after yesterday afternoon's arrival of some new logo transfer thingamabobs. Few months ago I found a a buch of x-large sky blue tees at a great price in a clearance store, so I picked them up with ordering some promo transfers in mind. Those who have purchased Well-Hung know I can be generous with bonus surprise swag.

Heated up the iron, put on some sweatshop tunes, and rocked out a whole bunch of them.

    3ead928b4e5637f9e6aa7721c4476f60.jpg

They have the nice fitted neck and are pretty nice shirts considering they were blowing them out. Going to keep one for myself, throw a few to the some local guitar stores, another to a player I want to reward locally.

    147af46b92f2538c7a8002e5917c20af.jpg

All others are now fair game, one bonus sky blue Make Any Guitar Awesomer tee for to anyone who picks up a strap in my reverb store at list price, while they last.

Today was rather productive, but she's well past lunch time now and I haven't stopped to eat drink or... other!
Wife is away visiting, so I am full bore into doing exactly what I love, with no distractions or honey-do list.

Today I completed three... a funky "Black is the new Orange" out of black tolex, plus another mean, green Crocogator in cowhide emboss....

    9fc509cb4547b5234045ccb2313c08d0.jpg

Also a rare black leather strap from my studio (for those in the know)... one I've dubbed "Red Alligator Crossing"
which, under the right circumstances, could also available in whiskey croc, or green if someone was so inclined for a custom job.
This a cowhide chap leather base, with cowhide croc ex's, nine of them in fact, and latigo leather on the tail and nose ends.
All these should be going up on my store over the next week.

    4c867e7c8e6b1725a3b54eaf4b6a913c.jpg

Note the Well-Hung pro-pin oversize strap button on the back end. So much strap doubt, absolutely erased.

Well-Hung straps are like no other strap you've used before. They are super robust, typically longer, and luxuriously padded. For those of you who may now know, I use real, real good leather in most cases - absolutely where it REALLY counts, in the nose and tail.

And another new one... Still coming up with a name I think maybe Whiskey Croc in Training

    22ed2eff612c702ca22c6bafb8a8ade5.jpg

Anyway, I'm in the mood for something other than strapmaking.

Elvis in his '69 Comeback Special. Cash at Folsom. Hendrix at Woodstock. These three musical legends all shared one common accessory.
The Saugerties patterned guitar strap. Can't say if it was the funky pattern itself making those moments pivotal in musical history, but I wouldn't bet against it. This stuff obviously has some deep voodoo connection, perhaps it's an indicator of the very leash of the Devil himself on souls sold into success.

    Now you REALLY want one.

    2bb234b9f87353c8b8d225c2b573de73.jpg

There are a number of manufacturers making "reissues" sort of resembling the old Ace version (discontinued after a couple years production if my research is right), now available for general guitarist consumption in your local store. Skinny "starter pack" straps at best, ribbon simply mounted to poly webbing.

    That's not my style.

I've been kicking around an idea to build a new short run of vastly improved saugerties pieces in the Well-Hung way for maybe a year or so. My aim is to give this strap ultimate comfort, build it longer and stronger to last. Won't be stopping at weak 2" wide ribbon only like the original, or reissues either. I'm taking this timeless retro pattern and mounting it to 3" wide deep, dark black leather. Can't stop there, even though it costs me more in leather, I'm rolling the edges for comfort, and will also be putting plenty of my sweet, sweet padding in the shoulder area.

You got a vintage guitar that needs real vintage mojo and historic gear cred? I daresay this strap might be the envy of all who see it. These are going to be very hip, gonna make four or five only, I think... probably keep one for myself. Now on the bench, coming soon to Reverb.
