I just scooped up this gem and I'm ecstatic! I'm not even sure what it is.

Old headstock, maple neck, double cut.

And the mods are absolutely things I would do.
    JB in the bridge.
    Alnico II Pro neck.
    Sperzel locking tuners.
    Bone nut.
    Tone Pros bridge and tailpiece.
    Speed knobs.
    Strap locks.

And it came with a HSC, all for $375. And the transaction was smooth. I'm really quite pleased. Here's one pic, and I will hit you up in a few days with deeper impressions.

Anyone know what model it is? I'll email Rondo with the S/N to get their take.

    More pics below.

Very nice find... hope someone can help you out with some info on it. Thats a fair price for all the upgrades and it being an old headstock model with a hardshell case... Id say you did just fine! Congrats

Very nice! I'd pop an A2 into that JB and call it a day.

Neat, this is an old AD2500 (just like they had AL models with the ‘lawsuit’ headstock, they had AD models as well).

Here’s another that was for sale on Harmony Central back in 2010:

Definitely a decent deal for under $400 with those mods, enjoy it!

    Thanks!
I have a JB in another guitar and did just that...A2 swap to mellow out the shrill character.

On first play, this particular JB doesn't sound quite as bright. But I would be quick with a magnet swap if needed.

I cleaned it up a bit, changed the strings, lubed the nut and oiled the board.

I really lucked out with this find. The seller had it since new, when he was in high school. He was sad to see it go, but said he simply wasn't playing it. He made me promise to play it a lot.

    Here are some more pics.

Very nice, it's an amber flame AD-2500. I have the lefty version of that exact same guitar...

Congrats on a great score, I swear there is some kind of hidden mojo in those early Agile models.
