I am going to go with NO on that. My crystal ball is forecasting much frustration.

You could be a Hurdy-Gurdy Man. Donovan would approve.

When you're low down and dirty, from walkin' the street
With your old hurdy-gurdy, no one to meet
Say love ain't the same, on the south side of town
You could look, but you ain't gonna find it around
It's the same old story, same old song and dance, my friend
It's the same old story, same old story
Same old song and dance, yeah

    :)

How would it sound through a 100w Marshall full stack?

I build stuff for a living, and I wouldn't touch that.

After watching a couple vids, i'm not sure which would be worse - building it or being forced to listen to someone playing it after it was done. Kind of like bagpipes meet a violin, and not in a good way.

I am gonna go with a strong "go for it!"
First I feel it is my moral responsibility as an enabler, and I expect the same.
Second, and I believe more important. Leaving any judgement aside
    .....
it doesn't seem like if @Gergo gets a hurdy gurdy, but how he gets it.

Hurdy Gurdy is what we called our handrills in the Navy because you had to crank it like a Hurdy Gurdy..

I have some experience making model planes. Looks like there's a LOT of die cut wood to pop out and glue and finesse. Wonder whether it's plywood. Probably laser-cut today.

Just judge it by the Gold Standard: what type of woman is attracted by a hurdy gurdy player?

I have seen a HG played live, it is a reasonable sound that can play its part in an ensemble.

Better than some music genres I shall not name.

I do not get the violin (and bagpipes) reference above either, and would recommend, say, find an expert player and sit five feet away and listen, watch.
