I've got one in black that I bought a while ago from another forum member. It has a Twang custom pickguard and I've got a SD JB trembucker/STK-4/STK-7 set that someday I'll eventually get around to swapping in:

The SX GG7 is much nicer than their pics indicate, one of the best buys I ever made from Rondo.

    Oh, mine was a $120 B-Stock. :)
    It had a bad tailpiece.

I remember that. Very nice guitar indeed.

Some parts of me are just glad he doesn't sell those anymore, especially at that price!! I'd probably have one of each color

He does have this up for grabs [IMG]

The WNO640 is a very different animal than a GG7/EG7 and it is a MUCH larger body guitar!
I know, I have one of each. :)

I've been searching far and wide for an SX that a friend had that's much older than anything offered in the past 10 years or so. It was a natural finished, had coil splitting which I've never seen on an SX(kinda like Jerry Garcia's Wolf), and was large and solid bodied. It didn't have an LP or Strat body, and was a body shape that I've not seen on a lot of other guitars. It wasn't like a Liquid or anything strange looking. I know this isn't a lot to go on, but figured I'd throw it out there while we're talking about older models/strange finds.

The Pirate series SX line...maybe was never carried by Rondo. Made for other countries perhaps as Rondo is understood to have the sole distributorship for the US!

I've bought as many SXes as anybody, but I've never seen an SX with coil splitting from the factory. Only thing I can think of that sounds like what you're describing, though is the KY1:
