I thought it might be nice to have an on going thread of gear acquisitions, similar to the "what's on your work bench" thread. I don't always feel like posting a review or honestly have time to get to know new gear quick enough to bathe in the experience with everyone. Sometimes making individual threads just seems tedious too. Well if you're down with that, then join us here.

What's new? Say a few words if you want. Post some tasty pics. Don't worry about posting samples or video reviews , but hey I won't stop you. just don't expect that to be the norm here. And of course feel free to ask questions along the way. Cheers!

    I'll start
I picked up this Lovepedal BBB18/si. It's my first lovepedal and it's exactly what the doctor ordered. Rangemaster and fuzz face in one pedal with a "blend" knob. Last week I placed it on my board and it impressed my band mates and I. It's not a high gain pedal but with a slight push from my compression/sustainer, those two pedals pulled off sweet child of mine really well. It has a great ability to cut through the mix as a clean boost or a fuzz. Responds perfect with the turn of my guitars volume. It's a keeper for sure.

My latest acquisition is an electro harmonix bass clone. Sounds really great!

I think that's when you're qualified to either post in the former pesky pesky GAS of the day thread or maybe we need an opposite thread like "what did you sell and what's wrong with you. Lol". I kid I kid

My newest piece of gear happens to be on my work bench. $200 for a 1993 Fender American Standard Telecaster with case and a spare set of Rio Grande pickups. Covered in gunk and stickers, which I'm in the process of removing now. I'll be adding locking tuners, new plate, new wiring harness, and installing a Seymour Duncan Lil 59 and 59 set. Pics upon completion.

Posted these recently. Came as a packaged set. All I wanted was the guitar and the seller threw all the other items in and reduced the price.

It’s an older Ibanez SZ 520. It has a nice thick mahogany body with a full thickness carved quilted maple top, not a veneer. It is Korean made, came with a no name hard case and is my more comfortable to me LP sounding guitar. The pedals are a Boss DS-1, Morley Cry Baby, and the amp is an old Marshal SS amp. Can’t remeber the model at the moment, but sounds quite good in Marshall overdrive tones. Clean not so much.

Going to part with the pedals and amp when work travel slows a bit. Was not really looking for anything, but this came up on Letgo for little dollars and I could not pass on it. Pics from the seller before the filthy Guitar was cleaned.

A couple days ago I heard this 3 guitar stand was on sale for 10 bucks from GC, so I ordered it and went ahead and ordered a 7 dollar desk top mic stand I’ve been coveting too. E4297819-B008-4ED7-8FA6-5127A427E4E6.jpeg 798CABE4-B02F-4EB8-B6CE-8E15B5C81AC9.jpeg

A Chibson Silverburst SG with ebony fretboard and MoP inlays. I screwed up and got the Gibson logo and there's no dots along the neck. Other than that I've been very satisfied with it. Came with great action and frets were all level and smooth. Pickups are very good and tuners, so far, have been OK. I don't see a need to change anything at this time.

Other than about 1/2 dozen pedals in the last 2 months all I've gotten recently is a
    Marshall DSL40c Amp.

Electro harmonix v30 clone for my DSL40C and an overdrive pedal in a trade with perfect stranger. I have my eye on a higher output set if giovsnni pickups.
I am trying to focus more on getting my gear playing to where I am happier with it versus bringing more stuff in.
