The authorities want to question you> They think you stole this Vox!

Good amp. More like 25 watts RMS, I've repaired a ton. Spritz the effects loop and input jacks with a little contact cleaner and run a plug through. That and the input jack solder connections would break and occasionally the TDA2040 output device would cook (but I think are still $6 to replace), because players would try and compete with drummers and 100w Marshalls with them .

    A 2005-2006 MIM Stratocaster that was never played and cased for 13 years and a NOS 2017 Strictly 7 Guitars 27.5" KS7 seven string (1 of 32). 3af264afe8705598a443de0641a517bd.jpg 2d24e901ef9d3431cc15bf9ef09236da.jpg

I put the Crate up for sale. Could not justify keeping it since I have other solid states which sound better. Plus it sounds a bit flubby, may just be the 2x8 speakers sitting 3 feet from me.

Anyway.....scoring this Crate Palomino 16 last week sealed the G40's fate.
Seller was an amp tech at a local shop. Has a sweet Guitar Warehouse Speaker Green Beret with a Vox meets Marshall tone at moderate levels. Non-barking dogs with my atrocious higher fret string bends usually means it's a keeper

It is a pretty smokin' price. :D

It's such a great little amp! So far I've only played the Fender Road Worn Tele through it but it loves that guitar.

Gotta love most things from St Louis sans the Cardinals and Blues.

Oh no you're selling the G40V? I guess it just wasn't meant to be. Did you ever try it through an extension cab?

All I've got is 12" Orange Cab in the basement. It's up for sale......not sold though. May give it another try.

    Lol.

Careful - I like the Blues. I also like the Cards, until the Phillies come to town.

Hey, but the music repair service is top notch!

I dig that Strat. Just curious was that from an owner or some shop NOS?

The white guitar was NOS from the Strictly 7 Guitars USA, LLC (Madina, Ohio).

The Strat was a one owner that I purchased from a shop with all the plastics still on it. 7dc50a71e6d97b381cf9d2b925a71e03.jpg d564ee8b6b959f831c75a1a49f1c8686.jpg

Sooooo, I not having a great day, maybe this is a contributing factor.
Might also be the hot peppers I had earlier that launched out of my *ss like a trident missile.

    upload_2019-4-23_13-39-15.jpeg

I had this for two days; it is in my car going to UPS store to return after work in a few hours.
No less noisy as far as hiss / hum than my one spot, AND it has a low level but no bueno whirring woo WOO woo that somewhat sounds like bumble bees, but not in a tin can like Fuzz.
Some had decent review as quieter than the OneSpot, which is all I was looking for at under $30.
No bueno, mas tequila, por favor.

@shupe13 I have a MIM Standard in the same color. That's the one @andrewsrea helped me install @mozz pickups in last weeks. It's a really beautiful color.

How are you liking the pickups?

I really don't have anything negative to say about the stock pickups (I'm not a traditionalist). Mine are the staggered/rounded poles.

Mine never had the stock pickup in it. It came with high output duncans. I put @mozz pickups in.

I didn't get this but I think it's gorgeous! I don't think I've seen one of these before quite like this. MAN I wish kurt would sell these in 6-strings, he's just not doing anything but ERG's anymore.

Basically a 1/4" maple top, but it's got "xtra jumbo" frets (hmmm, I could have them leveled). Anyway...
