And you are the deal master!

Although I think @JAMES SCHAFFNER set a high bar with the deal he got on the new Peavey Delta Blues.

It’s literally impossible to do better than @jamesschaffner did and still have spent money. The only better deal than what he got is to win a guitar or two as one member did twice recently.

My treasured next door neighbors are moving to Texas -
    :cry2:
. Truly great people. Their 6 year old knocked on my door and told me "I want you to have this broken guitar, to remember us." Broke my heart.

Mom and dad are stressing over how much stuff they need to move and threatened me if I fixed it and gave it back.

Not really broken and I will fix it, play it and eventually donate it.

If you recall, I did that in 2004. I got and epic score of my 2004 Zehpyr Blues Deluxe, a Toby Pro 6 Bass, two SM58's, a set of AKG K240 headphones, A Duke Robilard CD & Nick Collene CD.

I feel extremely fortunate, especially how I get good use from all of it and the Zephyr has really appreciated in market value. It was selling new for around $499 at one point. Now they sell from $800 to $1200. Mine is mint and I just slipped on a set of Tomastik-Infield Swing 11's (flatwound, would G). Gets played at least once a week.

Lot of 3 pedals from ShopGoodWill.com auction score. Arrived yesterday. EHX Small Clone chorus, Boss SD-1, and Boss CS-3.

The Small Clone pot code dates to 1981, which is around the time the model was released. Also it says "Mini Chorus" on the front instead of "Full Chorus" which means it's an early one. The pot shaft has been broken off so of course the knob is MIA. I ordered a replacement pot and knob from Small Bear. Once fixed, I should be able to sell the pedal for one and half times what I paid for the set. Assuming I can part with it.

The SD-1 has been modded by Monte Allums with the GT Mod. I've read good things about the changes he does. Haven't had time to test it out yet but will later today. I love me some SD-1 and this one looks almost mint.

The CS-3 is stock as far as I can tell but I'll pop it open to look for evidence of mods. I've never owned one so looking forward to giving it a go.

BOSE speaker. It's a sound system, not a practice amp. Impressive miniature sound.

I also traded for what is supposedly a Fargen modded Super Sonic 60. It's just barely playable at bedroom volumes but sounds fantastic at volumes my neighbors won't come knocking about. I'll have to look through the emails I got with Fargen that I got as documentation. Something like $1,200 of upgrades. I doubt Fargen does mods on the cheap.

@andrewsrea might be curious to take a look at this someday (sounds amazing as is) so I'll tag him.

Ughh, I need to bite the bullet and get one of those. I'm so tired of fighting with my gas one I've had for 15 years now.

For those wondering about the deal @golem and @andrewsrea are referring to. I bought a Peavey Delta Blues from Amazon warehouse deals. Decent price but not a steal. Amp had a few issues and I decided to return it. Amazon wouldn't take it back due to "hazardous materials" so they just refunded my purchase. @andrewsrea fixed it for me for $10 in parts.

Unless Fargen has signed this somewhere when taken apart the only thing I can verify is that this has at least two components from Mercury Magnetics which are extremely pricey upgrades last time I looked. So there’s certainly some evidence that this Super Sonic was upgraded. I wasn’t in the mood to check each tube.

I think I saw that one listed here on CL. If so it looked pretty impressive.

Do it NOW. The tech has finally caught up and surpassed the old ways(at least for blowers).

This one was $179, but there was a Ryobi there for $119(i think) will slightly better specs. I just don't need to have another different battery charger in my drawer of battery chargers....

I just went to a battery-powered weed whacker (Ego 56V brushless) and my heavens the thing is powerful.
