That was similar to my thought process :)

$180 to my door. (I offset shipping cost by buying gift cards at Raise, and no sales tax in Oregon)

Grabbed this locally off OfferUp for under 2 Benny's. Mint condition, 2001, Korean made with stock Epiphone Bigsby style trem. One tuner key is broken, need to swap those out, but inexpensive fix fo' sure. 19a2b07be5157581bce53370004e6eb4.jpg 00b479b0cd8a1e925dfd3467bdb7ea28.jpg 19eb0de3b2c960dfeb61525e496940e2.jpg 0500c55f65cc3025f75a0a0273facd74.jpg 7871f2f809a9b3975d2b1f3bde2395ee.jpg

    That would be seriously tempting.

I picked up a Marshall AVT20 in excellent condition except for some scratchy pots and the reverb pot is a bit touchy. I think a little DeoxIt will fix that.

Surprised how well put together it is, even if it is MDF. It is seriously sturdy and bigger than most 1x12 combos.

I quite like it, despite the less than glowing reviews out there. It definitely sounds better cranked on the clean channel. The OD channel is way too much when you get past about 10 o'clock, but it actually sounds pretty much like my DSL40C I got rid of (mostly because it was too big). Maybe a blue retrovalve will tame it a bit (and make it fully solid state...)

Overall, I'm thinking the cork sniffers probably poo poo'd this amp a bit unfairly. For a practice amp, it sounds dang good.

I already swapped in my WGS Vet 10 speaker that I had previously used with my Marshall Lead 15 mini stack prior to selling it. It made a noticeable improvement there and here it is not a disappointment either.

Part of the reason I bought it is that I was thinking the nice closed back cabinet would make a great extension cabinet for my Vox MV50 Rock. I'm thinking I will add a switching jack and jack plate to allow me to use it as such. I have done something similar with my Monoprice 15w amp already.

Picked up a couple of guitars from a buddy here on AGF. Thanks, Scott!

    Godin Type 2 Classic
I've loved Godin for a long time, having had a couple of lesser ones in earlier years. This is
a Mac Daddy! Can't wait to get my hands on it. It should be a blast.

They should both be here by the time we get back from vacation. I asked the wife, but she said we could NOT
    cancel. :(

2003_AXS_SRX_Limited_Edition_01.jpg A 2003 Ibanez AXS32. Got this at a pawn shop in Tampa last Monday and the price was 199.00 but I could buy it for 100.00 cash. This guitar has a very nice vintage tone and plays like a dream. After a string change and a bit of clean up she's ready to rock.

Nice and Korean made. Had to research that one. Never heard of it. And they made an AXS 42. Bet you make it sing. Just what I need, another on my radar. Thanks

To be honest I only got it cause its an Ibanez and a setneck and 100 bucks. But after a string change I found out it plays and sounds great. If you can get one grab it the stock pups are great. There is one on gc for abit over 100. Opps I know shouldn't enable.

Gonna have to pass at the moment. Good price though. Have two more for sale and when those go, going to pick up something else. Thanks though.

Just received two footswitches for my Fender Mustang 111 amp (yah boo sucks to Fender for no longer supporting it, BTW).
The MS-4 and MS-2 supposedly give greater instant control over the myriad options in this very cool amp … any experiences with these will be gratefully listened to.
Needless to say, I didn't pay full price.
Also have recently picked up some luthier tools for fret work and adjusting action.
About to leave for two weeks down the Oregon Coast in my little Toyota Winnebago—will be checking out pawn shops and thrift stores for sure!

Double flare tool for 3/16" brake line.
Hope this one works better than the other ones I have tried so far.
Trying to repair boat trailer brake lines, cut back rusted out part - rust Only at Tee fitting - and cant get the tubing to stop sliding back with the typical press type tool.
No fun laying over the fender and trailer frame on a U-bolt either. (boat is on trailer)

    Just wanted to vent.

I have one. It works great! Easiest brake line flaring tool I've ever used.

Picked up this Guitar Research Eddie Durham hollow body on eBay. This is a NGD and what’s on your work bench combo. I’d seen one on the GC site for awhile and it was just to pricey. Laminated maple top, back and sides with a maple neck. She was pretty grimy when it arrived and one of the pots had fallen into the body and the other 3 were very loose.

Here’s what she looked like when I opened the case

Swapped the tailpiece for a more traditional trapeze piece. I swapped the mounting bracket from the original tailpiece over to the trapeze piece so I didn’t need to drill new mounting holes.

Brackets swapped over in this photo.

Black speed knobs and a black switch tip. All polished and glazed! Pickups sound pretty good. Pots and switch upgrade in the future.

I brought this home last night, but it’s for my friend instead of for me.

1994 Fender “black label” P-bass. All I can say is it feels just as good as my 94 black label strat. Smooth playing. It has a couple cosmetic updates but I believe everything else is original. It came with licensed by Schaller tuners instead of unlabeled ones. Plus if only has a few light scratches and one minor, almost unnoticeable, ding. You really can’t beat the price on these things IMO.
