I went through my parts bin/box and found that I had everything to put together a new Tele but a neck. I ordered one up, along with a Line 6 HX Stomp, put it together and brought it to a guy I trust for the finishing touches

    Specs

-1995 Fender American Standard body, refinished in white with contours added and original bridge
-SD 59 and Little 59 pickups
-Musikraft roasted Maple neck with stainless steel frets
    -Gotoh tuners
    -Anodized aluminum Paisley pickguard

When I went to pick it up, the tech and I talked and I found out he was going to sell a backup Strandberg he had and never used. He bought it in March, played it twice and never again. Still had the original shipping box and everything. Got the buddy discount, $1k flat out the door for the final setup and fret work on the Tele and the Strandberg.

    Strandberg Boden Metal
    -Fishman Fluence Modern pickups
-EndurNeck with an ebony fretboard and stainless frets

This thing is very comfortable, possibly one of the most comfortable guitars I've ever played.

Nice build n' grab! I didn't bond with Strandbergs when I demo'd a few during my headless search (actually because of the Endurneck) so I went the Kiesel route, but headless really is my new jam (pun intended). In the process of determining a few guitars to put up on the choppin' block so I can order another Vader. Enjoy!

I picked up one of the Douglas headless cases that Rondo recently listed and it works great for the Strandberg. The lid has a ton of padding and it holds the guitar very secure around the neck, with no movement inside when the case is closed. It's about 4" shorter than a standard case, could have been made a little shorter if I was going to complain about something. For a $2k guitar, it needs a hardcase.

Are the Strandberg gig bags not very good? Haven't seen one in person, the one for my Kiesel is SUPER protective and I feel like I can throw the guitar down the stairs with no issues.

It's easily the most padded gig bag I've ever seen. I have kids and dogs running around my house at all times, so I just feel better knowing they are all cased and stored away. I also make sure all latches are locked after an incident with my, at the time, 2 year old standing on my PRS HBII 10 top (no damage, but the sight made me almost vomit).

If you leave them alone together you may end up with this.

I actually really like the look of that. But after playing this Strandberg for a while, I'd probably just grab their version of a Tele
