This is the back of my Agile AS-1000 Goldtop.
I wouldn't complain if the back of every guitar looked like this. :)

I would like to see a guitar in friggin' Brown. Just a nice wood color.I guess that's too "uptown"
Not that big on Oceanburst because they're so variable. Some I hate. What happened to yellow ?

What’s wrong with a Tune o matic bridge and what was the alternative? A non adjustable wrap around? No thank you, give me a TOM that can easily be upgraded if necessary.

As for finishes, does his reply mean no spalted, Birdseye or burl? If so I would push for a non-burst finish, preferably subdued like a brown, amber, or pale green, even with a flame those would be fine.

For greens, check out the PRS Trampas Green or the Hemp Green on the John Mayer signature guitars.

Here is a non-burst amber Agile

This is a blue that blows away random ocean clown IMHO...

Rondo has never managed to get TV yellow to look right, plus do you really want it on an arch top vs the 2300 flat top where it is more of a historical match?

I wasn't crazy about an arch top. Color is less important than body . Liked the symmetrical horns.Waiting for pics

Mere speculation on my part - but there is not a single spalted top available on Rondo now. So maybe his current factories don't offer it. Or maybe it's just not a good seller, there was a spalted AL-3100mcc at current prices, so probably from the same place

Lots of burls on there now though, so I assume that is an option.

How about just a natural plain maple top with some nice grain pattern?

Not necessarily, that's why I asked him for a list of current tops as well as finishes that the current source of Agiles has experience with...

I've got lefty versions those first two models, nothing like the last one. However, other than the Tribal Blue, the others haven't been available for a number of years and based on Kurt's comment, the factories that produced them probably aren't around anymore. However, that doesn't rule them out, just that we need some clarification from Kurt (which I asked for) on what specific info is necessary for a particular color. I'm assuming that It can't just be a picture of a particular guitar...

I'd assume just telling them NOT to do a burst would be an option, regardless of the factory... They do have a non-burst available now as an advanced order:
    https://www.rondomusic.com/Agile_AL-3100MCC_White_GoldHW_Block.html

If you do a burst, going between similar colors reduces chances of clownery. That's why tobacco burst looks better than 2ts, and of the Oceanbursts, those going from light to dark teal look so much better than those going from yellow to blue.

Unfortunately, I have exactly zero faith that the guitars that actually show up will look anything like that.

The AD is a different beast, Kurt put his own spin on the previous design by @Mossman which was a modification of the Gibson flat top double cutaway Junior/Special, and the result is the AD-2250 which to date, has sold a total of one out of sixteen initially in stock. I don't anticipate he'll be going forward with the next version of that, a symmetrical double cutaway design by @tvvoodoo, until those have sold.

So right now, we're focusing on getting an archtop symmetrical double cutaway AL-3100MCC and/or AL-3200MCC properly made and I'm thinking that to keep it simple for Kurt, at least on any initial run, maybe it would be best to limit ourselves to the finishes that have been used on those models currently in stock or have been over the last year or so.

Based on Kurt's comments and the initial quanties and finish slections of the AD-2250, for the AL model I would expect maybe three or four different finishes in quantities of four each for right-handed models and one or two finishes in quantities of two each for left-handed models...

Those shouldn’t be that hard to do though. Or at least something in the ballpark. The basic jist is that it is a non burst finish in a translucent color over some form of maple. They have to be able to do that, since they do it on other guitars and I am sure they can come up with a few colors that approximate natural, brown, amber, blue, and green. Or whatever colors people vote for.

Yes, there were two to start with, @FatJack bought one of them. As of this AM, there were still two of the lefty cherry and four each of the three right-handed models, which is what the original inventory was...

I never look at Rondo's backwards selection, it gives me heartburn.
